Historie	Utvandra til Amerika i 1881. For several years, he worked in Minnesota. In 1886, he homesteaded in the Des Lacs Valley. The town of Foxholm now stands on his land. His first home was constructed as a wigwam of willows and a dugout on the river bank. He later built a regular log cabin. Over the next 12 years, he worked as a skinner in mines, grader, and contractor for both the Soo and Great Northern RRs, a farm ranch hand, a lumberman, and the county assessor. Peter was active in community affairs: Minot Rotary Club, Thor Lodge, Sons of Norway, Northwest Pioneers and Oldtimers Assoc. He served on the Minot School Board, Trinity Hospital Board and on the board of directors for the Salvation Army. He was a member of the Minot Assoc. of Commerce, the retail merchants group, and the Ward Co. Red Cross. He was also active in the Zion Lutheran Church of Minot.
