  Historie	Ole started working for neighbors at the age of ten years and came to the United States as a seventeen year old youth in 1887. He obtained work in Rice Lake, Barron County, Wisconsin, working for Knapp, Stout & Company, working in the woods in the winter and doing haying and other work on their farms in the summer. In 1914, Ole purchased 80 acres of land in Sections 24 and 25 of Stanfold Township, Barron County and commenced to develop a farm. The place was only partly improved and had only a log cabin and a log barn. He sided over the logs and added a frame addition, enlarged the barn and added a granary, machine sheds and other buildings. Over time he developed a good farm and successfully carried on general farming and dairying with a herd of grade cattle.
