    • Ola var ein stor hurragut og speloppmakar, og i boka "Bondestrid" har Halvdan Koht med ymse segner om han. Mest kjend er historia om den gongen han gjekk på kontoret til sakfallspaktaren Rasmus Teilgård for å betala bot for slåsting. Ha fortalte da at det var ein annan kar han og hadde lyst til å jule opp og spurde kva det kosta. Teilgård nemde den prisen lova kravde, og Ola la pengegbota på bordet framfor paktaren og betalte på forskot. Og dermed gav han Teilgård eit ørefik så han ramla av stolen.
